Plot- Uday, a young photojournalist on assignment in the jungles of the Sundarbans, rescues a white tiger cub ensnared in a poacher’s trap and brings the cub to a small settlement he is based in. Soon, panic among the villagers sets in. In order to bring calm back to the villagers, the forest warden takes the cub away. The Royal Bengal Tigress enters the village in the night searching for her cub. She picks up the scent of her cub’s blood and reaches the photographer’s hut. When she fails to get her cub back, her instinct leads her to avenge the kidnapping. She unleashes her wrath upon Uday, kills him, and disappears with his body.
Pundit; captain of an elite commando team, comes to the Sundarbans to claim his brother Uday’s body. Silent replies from the villagers leads Pundit to a confrontation with the park warden. She callously declares the case closed and refuses to send a party to recover Uday’s body as the expanse and dangers of the forest ecology are too complex. Angry and emotional, Pundit decides to deal with the matter himself. He calls upon his own crack commando team - Sufi, CJ, Hero, Cheena, Sood/kashmiri with all latest military equipments. With the help of a local guide Madhu they engage a known tracker, Jhumpa, and set off on a do-or-die mission to capture the tigress and avenge his brother's death. But the tigress outsmarts and manipulates them into her territory and traps their boat on low tide in a bay. Adding to their predicament, a villainous poacher Bheera senses an opportunity to serve his own interest. He schemes a plan to use the survivors as bait to trap his prize catch, the White Tigress. Bheera befriends Jhumpa and Pundit's team and manipulates them to the tigress' lair. A few members of Pundit's team dies in the Jungle due to Bheera's continuous sabotage, but after a heinous battle they were able to capture the tigress as Bheera planned. When Pundit is about to shoot the White Tigress, he finally realized that it was Bheera who trapped them in the lair of tigress and jeopardized the whole team to the mouth of death. The white tigress was just merely protecting her area and her newborn cub. Pundit instead shoots Bheera who was holding the newborn white cub hostage and leave Bheera on the mercy of the tigress. But little do they know that the other tigers are on the way to hunt them down. All of Pundit's team members dies fighting the tigers. At last only Pundit and Jhumpa could escape alive the jungle when the White Tigress intervenes and drive away other tigers in gratitude of saving her cub from Bheera. Pundit returns home with a different philosophy on Tigers of Sundarbans. Later revealed that Cheena (one of Pundit's commandos), although severely wounded, could also get out alive when some people of the local tribes known as Chameleon or camouflage tribe helped him hiding his body scent and color with some wood and leaf preparations to blend with woods and leaves and become invisible to tigers. This whole story is a narrative of Cheena to the children at a party in the evening. At night, when the parents depart with their children who were listening to uncle Cheena's story, the parents showed little interest and mostly disbelieve in Cheena's White Tiger story. Later when Cheena undresses at his bedroom before sleeping, it is revealed that he has lost one arm and one leg in that tiger attack - the proof of truthfulness of his story.
